Richard Galloway
I am Richard , originally from Essex but have been living on Merseyside for the last 27 years. I am a retired accountant living with my wife.
Richard was diagnosed with breast cancer and had a mastectomy in January 2016.
So for him now, 8 years down the line, there are 3 important things that he is working on regarding breast cancer in men;
1. Supporting other men who find themselves in the same boat.
2. Creating awareness of male breast cancer to help improve outcomes.
3. Participating in research into male breast cancer where his cancer journey is relevant.
The Men’s VMU is important for all 3
His advice to both men and women is– if you feel a lump, go to your GP immediately and make sure you have taken it to the point where you are happy that you know what the lump is.
