Dr Kerry Quincey

Kerry is a Senior Lecturer in Psychology at De Montfort University, Leicester and co-founded The Men’s VMU together with Doug in 2020 following the completion of her Ph.D. research on British men’s experiences of living with and beyond a breast cancer diagnosis in 2018.

To date, her published works are primarily centred on furthering the understanding of men and breast cancer, leading her to develop established collaborative partnerships with national and international breast cancer charities, and the NHS. Kerry has presented her research findings on breast cancer in men at various academic conferences, delivers dedicated lectures on the topic as part of her teaching, and has supervised and examined research exploring men and breast cancer completed by postgraduate-and doctoral-level university students.

With a keen interest in both psycho-oncology and redressing cancer inequalities, Kerry’s work advocates not only for men diagnosed with breast cancer but other minority cancer groups too.
